The brilliant spiral tube design allows this tube feeder to hold three different seed mixes, about 1-1/2 cups of each, to attract the most variety of vistors.Like most tube feeders, the perches are short by design, to encourage small birds to visit.So far, it's a hit!Larger birds like cardinals and jays will not be able to hang on, but they will pick up the crumbs on the ground below.

I don't see any screw for attaching an accessory seed tray (dish) to the bottom of the feeder.However, a clear 6" plastic plate (the kind for picnics and birthday cake) is easily added on top to help deflect rain.

I would say the color is a dark warm gold, that goes well with bronze, copper, or coffee colored landscape furniture.I bought (white) safflower, (black) nyjer seed, and anti-squirrel chili pepper seed mixes to go with this feeder. Love, love, love it!
