I was really disappointed when I got through all the packing paper and discovered the size of this "birdbath."Ashtray is more like it.It's maybe 12 inches long and about 8 inches wide -- I didn't measure it; that's an estimate.But the point is, it looks like a full-size birdbath in the picture, and it's nowhere near that.I ordered it as a replacement bowl for the birdbath I have, and this thing wouldn't even cover the hole. It's nice for an ashtray.The thing is, there's a small hole on one side of the "trough" that's not supposed to be there.Maybe that was just a defect on the one I got.There's two holes on the edges where you screw in the birdies, but then an extra hole where the water's supposed to go!duh!I'm sending it back!
